English folk poem for children

Simple Simon

Simple Simon met a pieman,
Going to the fair;
Says Simple Simon to the pieman,
Let me taste your ware.

Says the pieman to Simple Simon,
Show me first your penny;
Says Simple Simon to the pieman,
Indeed I have not any.

Simple Simon went a-fishing,
For to catch a whale;
All the water he had got,
Was in his mother's pail.

Simple Simon went to look
If plums grew on a thistle;
He pricked his fingers very much,
Which made poor Simon whistle.

Polly put the kettle on

Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
We'll all have tea.

Suki take it off again,
Suki take it off again,
Suki take it off again,
They've all gone away.

Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
Polly put the kettle on,
We'll all have tea.

Suki take it off again,
Suki take it off again,
Suki take it off again,
They've all gone away.

Goosey, goosey, goosey

Goosey, goosey, goosey, lay a golden egg for me!
Goosey, goosey, goosey, I want one for my tea!
I haven't had an egg since breakfast,
And now it's half-past three,
So goosey, goosey, goosey, lay a golden egg for me.

Goosey, goosey, goosey, lay a golden egg for me!
Goosey, goosey, goosey, I want one for my tea!
I haven't had an egg since breakfast,
And now it's half-past three,
So goosey, goosey, goosey, lay a golden egg for me.

Did you ever see a bunny?

Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny,
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so slow?
He hops, and hops, and hops, and hops,
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so slow?

Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny,
Did you ever see a bunny that hops on one foot?
He hops, and hops, and hops, and hops,
Did you ever see a bunny that hops on one foot?

Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny,
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so fast?
He hops, and hops, and hops, and hops,
Did you ever see a bunny that hops so fast?
